Lipa Guest House, one of the key architectural developments of the Menchakovo art residence in the Suzdal District, won the public vote for the Golden Trezzini Award in the category Best Reconstruction Project.
At Lipa’s heart lies an authentic wooden log structure from the early 20th century, complemented by a new space, panoramic glazing and a terrace. Architect Pyotr Safiullin (Yaratam Design) preserved the original layout, the manually laid brickwork of the stoves, and the wood texture, following the principle of “soft integration”: the historical hut is not restored to museum-standard accuracy but nor does it disguise itself under stylistics, while entering into a dialogue with modern materials.
